Goat Cheesery, Official Guide!

The Goat Cheesery is here. Help Barbara and Walter with their Wedding by crafting Artisan Goat Cheese using regular Milk and Herbs, and then churning them to collect all the Gourmet Cheeses to earn the exclusive Baby Muscovy Duck.Building the Goat Cheesery:

Your first step is collecting construction parts. You will need the following items to start building your Goat Cheesery:

  • Churning Vats
  • Goat Cheese Cloths
  • Cheese Paddles

To collect Churning Vats, click on the “Post” button to post to your Facebook wall – you will get the parts when your friends click on it, or when you click on a similar newsfeed post. 

Click on the “Ask” button to send requests for Goat Cheese Cloths and Cheese Paddles to your Neighbors. If you do not wish to wait for your friends, you can skip any of these tasks for Farm Bucks.


Using the Goat Cheesery: 
The Goat Cheesery requires a certain amount of Adult Goats on your farm that are not Prized to be functional. If you lack any requirements (such as not having enough Goats), the game will tell you what you are missing. When you feed your Adult Goats, they will drop Artisan Goat Cheese, which can be found in the Goat Cheesery.
Collecting Artisan Goat Cheese:
In order to get all the Gourmet Cheese, you will need to collect the Goat Artisan Cheese by feeding adult Goats. To see your Artisan Goat Cheese count, click on the Goat Cheesery to open the main menu. Your Artisan Goat Cheese total is located on the left-hand side of this screen. The number at the bottom of the Artisan Goat Cheese indicates how many you currently have in your Inventory.






Crafting Artisan Goat Cheese: You can craft your very own Artisan Goat Cheese via the Crafting Kitchen. From the Goat Cheesery menu, click on the “Craft” button to open the Kitchen. The Ingredients for Winter Cream are as follows:

  • Artisan Goat Cheese: The required Ingredients are Milk and Herb. Note: To get Milk, feed your Adult Cows and Goats (feeding Prized Goats and Cowsdo not count). You can ask your Friends for the Herbs.


Feeding Adult Goats: You can find Artisan Goat Cheese by feeding your Adult Goats (feeding Prized Goats do not count). If you find some, they will appear on your farm in a similar fashion to Prize Goods.

When a Artisan Goat Cheese appears on your farm after harvesting, click on it and you will see the following pop-up:



Once you have collected Artisan Goat Cheese, you will be able to churn them by clicking on the blue “Churn” button from the Goat Cheesery menu.

Gourmet Cheese Ingredients: 
To earn the baby Muscovy Duck, you will need to collect types of the Gourmet Cheese Ingredients. To get these types of Ingredients, all you need to do is keep churning Goat Cheesery!
There are three types of Gourmet Cheese Ingredients you can receive:

  1. Bleu du Bocage
  2. Garrotxa
  3. Tomme de Chevre Aydius

If you do not want to wait to collect the Gourmet Cheese Ingredients, you can use Farm Bucks to skip these steps and get the new baby Muscovy Duck right away!

In celebration of the summer cook-off, and for the first time in FarmVille history, we’ll be sharing real-world recipes inspired by FarmVille 2: Country Escape. Reception Perception 1/8 : Special Reception!
First we need to get some supplies ready for the Wedding Gifts.
  1. Place a Wedding Table to get ready for the reception.
    Purchase one in the General Store if you don’t have one, or check inventory.
  2. Harvest 12 Red Spanish Marigolds; these will come in handy.
    Buy this crop in the General Store.
  3. Feed 2 Adult Pigs to get useful resources.
    Feed adult animals. Use Speed Feed to get them even faster.

Reception Perception 2/8 : Light of the Party!
Craft some special surprises for the Reception guests.
  1. Collect 5 Wedding Candles; guests will love this.
    Ask your friends to send one.
  2. Gather 5 Wool, nice and fluffy.
    Feed adult animals to get these. Use Speed Feed to get them even faster.
  3. Make 1 Red Spanish Marigold Bouquet, Can’t have a wedding reception without these.
    Craft this in your Crafting Workshop.

Reception Perception 3/8 : Helping Hand
Stop by your neighbors farms to make sure they are ready for the reception.
  1. Perform 5 helpful actions on Neighbor farms
    Click a friend in the Neighbor Bar to visit their Farm.
  2. Feed 2 Adult Rabbits, for some fluffy wool.

Make sure your animals are good spirits for the reception.

  2. Feed 4 Adult Horses, a happy horse is a quiet horse.

  3. Make 2 Embroidered Horse Blanket; the horses will look stylish!

Reception Perception 6/8 : Setting the Moo-d
Make sure the cows don’t disrupt the reception.

  1. Tend your Prized Cow Shed 2 times, to keep the Cows occupied.

  2. Harvest 4 Snow Angel White Peach Trees, guests hate falling fruit!
    Fertilized trees bring in more County Fair points!
  3. Make 2 Votive Candles to decorate the farm!

Reception Perception 7/8 : Wedding Water
We need to get ready for all these thirsty guests.
  1. Collect 5 Wedding Matchbooks to light all the candles.
    Ask your friends to send one.
  2. Harvest 4 Orange Trees, to flavor the water
    Groves full of the same kind of tree will give you extra output!
  3. Gather 50 Water, keep the guests hydrated.
    Harvest water from wells or the water tower.

Reception Perception 8/8 : Un-Bah-able
Lets keep those sheep quite and make some snacks.

  1. Tend your Sheep Shack 2 times to quiet the sheep!

  2. Harvest 15 Corn, we need this for cooking.

Go Cave Exploring With My Family Farm!

My Family Farm comes to FarmVille 2 on 6/26! In the upcoming addition, you’ll have family that can explore an all new area: the cave. Alex, My Family Farm’s Senior Producer, took a few minutes to explain some of the ideas behind the cave’s development.
Designing the Cave
“From early on in the development of the Family Farm concept, we decided that we wanted to have new areas for your family members to explore and find valuable and rare items to craft with. And when you think valuable and rare, probably one of the first thing you think of is precious metals, which is how we arrived at the idea of doing a cave that you could explore. 
Early sketches of a cave focused on creating something that looked mysterious but not too scary, natural, and didn’t take up a lot of space on the board (as we know space is at a premium for so many players).”

“After a direction was agreed upon, we decided to tackle a location for the new area. The concept was actually pasted over a screen shot of a real farm to make sure it fit with the rest of the game and that it fit well.”

 “With the look and location picked out, the concept group began to finalize the look of the exploration cave, arriving at this color concept. Right away in the color version the team realized that the natural looking cave we had hoped to get was looking a little too man-made. The rock walls looked too much like stones, making the cave look more like the entrance to an ancient ruin than a natural cave you would explore to find precious metals.”

“So we literally went back to the drawing board and took another pass on the cave to make it look more natural, and they succeeded with the color sketch below.”

My Family Farm: Tip #1 (Family Jobs)

My Family Farm is just around the corner! FarmVille 2’s upcoming addition expands the role of your farmer, giving you a Family that can be taught to help out around the Farm.
As we discussed before you’ll all live together happily in the Family Farm House. So, even though your Farming Family will use their own resources while they’re working, they’ll still benefit from your help. 
We will be sharing tips like these in the weeks leading up the release of My Family Farm on 6/26. This is just the first!
Family Jobs:
Members of your Farming Family need two things in order to do the farming jobs you teach them: Meals and Energy.



Items made in the Crafting Kitchen are used to create Meals. Your sweetheart needs to eat a certain number of Meals before they can do the jobs you’ve taught them. This number is displayed in the lower-right corner of the job’s icon.

“Crop Care takes six Meals to do the job.”
Jobs also require Energy. At the top of the Family Jobs menu, you will see two blue Energy Bolts. That means your sweetheart has two Energy, so they can do two farming jobs. 
Why are there little lock icons next to the blue energy bolts? Well, that’s because as your sweetheart learns more and more farming jobs, they become farming experts and unlock more energy to help around the farm.
