FarmVille2 Tropic Escape: Littlest Island Spirits!

27 August 2021 FarmMaster 0

Chief Kono’s sister Kaya is the island’s spiritual leader, and as part of her duties, she’s been teaching the village children about the spirits of the island.

However, the kids are only interested in hearing about Zemi, and Kaya had trouble diverting their attention from the dangerous and temperamental volcano spirit. Kaya enlists our help to get them interested in the littlest (and far safer) spirits of the island instead — the vibrant butterflies, ladybugs, and dragonflies!

Source: https://zyngaplayerforums.com/farmvilletropicescape/en/discussion/16030/littlest-island-spirits/p1?new=1

Get started! You’re on your way to meet and interact with cute and friendly bugs while you study their behavior.

If you are at least Level 9, you will be invited to join the Littlest Island Spirits event. You will need to force-close the game to see the update or even reboot your device.

Start the event by tapping on the Grandmother Oak Tree that is near the beach area.

Each of the bugs in the collection will be attracted by a different kind of lure. There are three types of lures that you can either craft or find:

  • Fruit Slices – Attract Butterflies with this lure.
  • Bouquet – Attract Ladybugs with this lure.
  • Seed Mix – Attract Dragonflies with this lure.

Once you have the required lure, drag it to one of the three Platforms to attract a bug.

After the lure has been placed, the attracted bug will show up. Tap the Start Tagging button to see what tasks you’ll need to do to tag it.

You can tag a bug by supplying items for it before the timer runs out and it disappears.

Once you have successfully tagged a bug, collect your rewards for a job well done!

There will be some bugs that have already been tagged and will return. Go ahead and tag it again, as this is a way to get lures! Re-tagging Butterflies is the only way to get lures for the Ladybugs, and re-tagging Ladybugs is the only way to get lures for the Dragonflies!

You will be tagging thirteen bugs in total. So keep placing those lures and supplying items! You can view all the bugs you’ll be looking for by tapping on Kaya’s Map.

Tag all the bugs in your Collection to unlock the Event Bonus and win exclusive bonus rewards!

Unlock Unlimited Sunshine

Find all the 13 bugs in the collection to win the Butterfly Tree for an hour. From the Store, place it on your island, and it will give you 1 hour of free unlimited Sunshine for 10 days!

Helping Hand Tokens

Join a Beach Club so you can share Helping Hand Tokens with your Club buddies! These tokens will let them complete orders and get progress for free without using crafts or Gems! These Tokens are shared automatically in your Beach Club chat when you re-tag Ladybugs and Dragonflies. You can’t earn them for yourself, but you can use the Tokens that your Club friends who also re-tag Ladybugs and Dragonflies share in your Club chat. Complete your collection by helping each other out!

Note: You can use up to 3 Tokens per day.

Temporary Landmark: Gazebo

Search the Gazebo for event items and use these to craft supplies to tag the bugs.

Temporary Guides: Lilo and Sooty

You can hire Lilo and/or Sooty as Temporary Guides to help you out during the event. They will give you a higher chance of finding rare ingredients.

Note: Lilo and Sooty are temporary guides and will only stay on your island for the duration of the Littlest Island Spirits event.

FV Tropic Escape: “Spring Flower Fest!”

7 April 2017 FarmMaster 0

It’s the Spring Flower Fest and Calla the Queen of Flowers has come to help your guests celebrate Spring.

But she’ll need your help to build her floating throne, the Flower Float, so that she can dance and perform for you.

She brings along Sage, a float builder…

…and his sister, Lily, a float decorator and flower specialist.

Calla relates the lore and meaning of the flowers used; Sage gets it into his head that there’s pirate treasure on the island; when Lily tries to rein in her wayward brother, she makes a wonderful discovery. Play the quests to find out what Lily discovers and to win an exclusive Flower Trellis.
If you’re at least level 8, you’ll get to see and interact with Calla, the Queen of Flowers, who will help you make your island bloom for Spring. She’ll stay until April 17th before she departs.
Start the event by searching for flowers and other float parts from Flower Patches. To search the Flower Patches, you’ll need to craft Garden Gloves at the Float Workshop. Find Sturdy Cloth to make the Garden Gloves by sending Guides and Guests to the landmarks.

Watch for other Flower Patches that come and go along the shore to find extra flowers and float parts.

Gather Flowers and craft at the Float Workshop to complete each stage of building the Flower Float.

Finish all the stages on or before the April 17, and win the exclusive Guide, Lily, Sage’s sister, who will stay at your island for the next 30 days. Lily would love to spend more time enjoying the flowers on your lush island.

Another tradition is to collect Bouquets for the Flower Fest. Give Bouquets to your Friends and receive Bouquets from them in return.

Complete the collection of Bouquets to win an animated Spring Bunny Patch!

Temporary Island Guide: Sage, the Master Float builder
You have the option to hire Sage as a temporary Guide to help you out during the “Spring Flower Fest” Event. He’ll give you a higher chance of finding rare event ingredients at the landmarks. Please be aware that he is temporary, and will leave your island once the event is over.

FV Tropic Escape:”Upcoming Game Updates – Mar 3″

5 March 2017 FarmMaster 0
Aloha, Tropic Hosts!

It’s Ryan again, one of the designers on FarmVille: Tropic Escape. As promised, I’m back to chat with you about some exciting changes planned for the Wildlife Center! First off, I’d like to thank you for all of the positive comments after my last set of notes. It’s a pleasure to make the game more fun for all of you!

Before I get into these changes, I wanted to mention how fun and challenging it was for us to create the Wildlife Center. As a game team, we always imagined the island was brimming with the exotic, tropical creatures we saw in our wistful Google searches for “tropical paradise.” The challenge, however, was that we couldn’t allow the island to become overrun with Wildlife! Ultimately, we decided only one creature would appear at a time and that made things easier – sort of.

The next challenge was getting the Wildlife to behave. Truthfully, I can’t recall all of the strange things we saw while making the Wildlife Center, but I do remember a sloth jumping through a hole in the world, a pelican running amuck across the island, and (I think) an iguana and sea turtle somehow fused together. We had a great time though, and our artists deserve a shout-out for pulling it all off!
And now, the changes!

Huge Rewards for Finishing Wildlife Missions!
Our first order of business with the Wildlife Center was to ensure that finishing all three Photo Missions provided a worthwhile and awesome reward. All that hard work to please the Guests and nothing in return! Given how tough it can be to snap a photo of that one pesky Flamingo or Bird of Paradise, we’ll now be giving something special to players who go the extra mile and finish all 3 of the Photo Missions.
Here’s a little of what you can expect:
  • You will now always earn 2 Sand Dollars after completing all 3 Photo Missions within the timer. One of them is guaranteed to be either Silver or Gold.
  • You will receive a Mystery Prize with valuable parts for your Boathouse & Silo.
  • You will also get a greater amount of Coins if you finish all 3 Missions, but you will no longer receive Coins from completing the individual missions. Trust me, you can make a lot of cash if you play strategically!
  • If you have a lot of one Photo saved up, Guests are slightly more likely to ask for them.
Better Chance to find Wildlife Items

When we first designed these exotic Wildlife items – the Sea Salt, Açaí Berries, Shrimp, and Jungle Vines – we thought it would make sense if they were just that, exotic! Hard to find! But after a lot of our own experiences and player feedback, we considered how frustrating it felt to run out of these valuable items. With a 2-hour timer and just a small chance to find them, it’s tough to collect what you need for filling Orders.

These changes are really part of that “ABC” philosophy I mentioned last time, so get ready to start crafting some Shrimp Skewers and Salt Scrubs! To learn more about the “ABC” philosophy, click to view the ‘Upcoming Game Updates’ Notes HERE.

Just one change here:
  • Friendly Wildlife now drop these exotic items more frequently.

Treats, Treats, Treats – and Treasure!

One frustrating experience we wanted to address involved using an Exquisite Wildlife Treat for a Gold Sand Dollar and not attracting the right Wildlife. It seemed only fair the exquisite price of these Treats be matched with an exquisite reward. We also didn’t like that Delicious Treats sometimes attracted a pesky Seagull – truth is they are just too fancy for Seagulls!
Lastly, we wanted to make sure the Wildlife showed their appreciation for the delectable snacks you’ve been providing. Now you can find better rewards from the elusive Wildlife when you use the tastiest Treats. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Delicious Treats now attract only Shy Wildlife (previously both Friendly & Shy).
  • Exquisite Treats now attract only Elusive Wildlife (previously Shy & Elusive).
  • Exquisite Treats now provide 4 Photos instead of 6.
  • After using Exquisite Treats, you will almost always discover a rare Part for expanding (Signet Ring, Compass, Survival Kit).
  • After using Delicious Treats, you will have an increased chance of finding a rare Part for expanding (Signet Ring, Compass, Survival Kit).
The entire FarmVille: Tropic Escape Team really hopes that you enjoy these changes to the Wildlife Center and have fun discovering all the different Wildlife as you play. Thanks for reading, and as always please leave any thoughts or feedback you have in the comments section – we love to hear from you.

FV Tropic Escape: “What are Geodes?”

4 September 2016 FarmMaster 0
Domingo says that the Geodes are gifts from Zemi the volcano spirit. Geodes are found by expanding to new plots of land. A new Geode looks like this:
Use Tools to extract crystals from the Geodes.
Geodes randomly give three types of crystals:
  • orange crystals
  • blue crystals
  • purple crystals
Each Tool is better for getting a specific color of crystal from a Geode:
  • Pickaxe = orange crystals
  • Mallet = blue crystals
  • Shovel = purple crystals
geode&tool_choices.png
Get more Tools by completing guest orders at the Order Board, or buy with Gems.
geode_buy_tool.png
Using a Tool on a Geode starts the process, but it takes a while before the crystals are released and can be collected. The Geode glows while preparing to be collected.
geode_glowing.png
Tap on the Geode to see when it will be ready to be collected. You can use Sunshine or Gems to rush the process.
geode_timer.png
Once the Geode is ready for collection, it will sparkle.
geode_sparkles.png
Tap on it and collect your crystals. You’ll receive XP, crystals, and sometimes other random rewards such as Sunshine or Quick-Sand.
geodes_rewards.png
About Crystals: Crystals are used to craft valuable Goods at the Jeweler.
You can use Goods made with crystals to complete special orders at the Order Board that reward you with Sand Dollars, and for other special uses.
You’ll be able to collect many crystals from each Geode, but they don’t last forever. Eventually a Geode will run out of crystals and disappear. This is a Geode about halfway through its life:
geodes_second_stage.png
And this is a Geode that will soon disappear:
geodes_nearly_gone.png
When your Geode looks like this, it’s time to look for another one! Keep expanding to new land plots to find Geodes.

fvte 19.jpg
Tap Ask for Help if you’re having trouble making or buying enough of the Goods you need to complete the orders. This will send a request for help to your friends, who may be able to complete the rest of the order for you.

FV Tropic Escape: “What is the Top Resort Tournament?”

1 September 2016 FarmMaster 0

We know everyone has been working hard to earn those three stars on their Weekly Resort Ratings. Now take it to the next step.

Introducing the Top Resort Tournament! For the final three days of each week, resort owners battle it out for amazing prizes.

Show that your resort is the crème de la crème, the best resort destination of them all.

Earn Weekly Resort Rating points by crafting Goods to participate in the Tournament leaderboard.
Access the leaderboard by tapping on the Weekly Resort Rating board in front of your inn.

Then tap on the tab with the “trophy” icon to open the Tournament window.

At the top of the Top Resort Tournament window you’ll see a timer. It shows:

a) when the next competition starts; or

b) how much longer the current Tournament will run.

If you win First Place, you’ll receive a special Tournament animal that will stay in your resort for one week, and then leave.
These animals can help you greatly in the next Top Resort Tournament.

If you win a Tournament animal, open the Island Store and go to the Animals tab to find it.
Drag it onto your island to begin using it, but be warned, the animal will leave in one week whether you use it or not.

Once you’ve placed the Tournament animal, the Animals tab will show you how much time is left before it leaves.

This is the Top Resort Tournament window showing an active Tournament with the rankings of the players,  how many points you need to move up in the rankings, and the prizes.

At the bottom of the screen, there are three boosts you can use to increase your crafting points:

• GOOD is free for the first spin to receive a random boost. If you don’t like the boost you receive on the free spin, you can pay Gems to try for a more useful boost.

• BETTER costs Gems, but gives you a better boost that increased your crafting by three times. Again, if you don’t like what you receive, you can pay Gems to try for a different boost, but the Gem cost will keep going up with each spin.

• BEST costs more Gems, but gives you the best boosts that increase your crafting by four times. You can pay more Gems to spin again for a different boost.

In the example shown here, the free Good boost shows that every time you craft one Fish Taco, you’ll receive two Fish Tacos.
