My Family Farm: Tip #1 (Family Jobs)

My Family Farm is just around the corner! FarmVille 2’s upcoming addition expands the role of your farmer, giving you a Family that can be taught to help out around the Farm.
As we discussed before you’ll all live together happily in the Family Farm House. So, even though your Farming Family will use their own resources while they’re working, they’ll still benefit from your help. 
We will be sharing tips like these in the weeks leading up the release of My Family Farm on 6/26. This is just the first!
Family Jobs:
Members of your Farming Family need two things in order to do the farming jobs you teach them: Meals and Energy.



Items made in the Crafting Kitchen are used to create Meals. Your sweetheart needs to eat a certain number of Meals before they can do the jobs you’ve taught them. This number is displayed in the lower-right corner of the job’s icon.

“Crop Care takes six Meals to do the job.”
Jobs also require Energy. At the top of the Family Jobs menu, you will see two blue Energy Bolts. That means your sweetheart has two Energy, so they can do two farming jobs. 
Why are there little lock icons next to the blue energy bolts? Well, that’s because as your sweetheart learns more and more farming jobs, they become farming experts and unlock more energy to help around the farm.

Figure out how to make exceptional and rare cheeses from the basic artisan Goat cheese.
  1. Make 2 Artisan Goat Cheese out of regular milk.
    You can craft the main ingredient needed for the Cheesery right in your Crafting Kitchen!
  2. Gather 2 Bleu du Bocage from the Goat Cheesery.
    Get artisan Goat Cheese from goats or crafting and put it in the Goat Cheesery to find this.
  3. Harvest 3 Heirloom Lemon Tree for drinks we’ll need.
    Use shears to prune trees into heirloom trees.

Later Cater Quest 4/8 : Have a Heart
It’s white, heart-shaped, perforated. Who on earth did I lend that thing to? I need it!



  1. Collect 5 Heart Cheese Mold for Cornelius.
    Ask your friends to send one.
  2. Gather 25 Milk.
    You can use Super Feed to gather ingredients from animals faster.
  3. Tend your Goat Shelter.
    If you don’t have one already buy it in the General Store or check your Inventory.

Later Cater Quest 5/8 : Hanging Around
I almost forgot the caterer is responsible for decorations and drinks!
  1. Harvest 20 Horned Melon
    This crop is available for a limited time.

Last week we announced My Family Farm, an add-on to FarmVille 2 that introduces you to your childhood sweetheart, and unlocks an all new way to play! 

Tons of great content will be unveiled on 6/26, and today we are excited to show you what some of that content will look like.
We sat down with Alex, My Family Farm’s Senior Producer, to discuss the creative process behind the all-new Family Farm House!
 The Creation of the Family Farm House
“One of the big new additions to FarmVille 2 is the Family Farm House.
The Family Farm House is not just a place to grow your family, but also where you teach them how to do farming jobs like crop care, tree care, baby animal care, etc. (Awesome because they use their own water, fertilizer, baby bottles, etc. instead of yours!)
We knew that it was super important to get the Family Farm House right, so we turned to our concept artists to help find just the right look, inspire the design behind adding Family to the farm.
Early concept sketches for what the Family Farm House would look like started with drawings that used real farms houses as reference. Looking at these early concepts we realized that we wanted to add more details and decorations to the house, and that no Farm House would really be complete without a nice cozy porch for the family to relax together on after a long day taking care of the farm.

The next step focused on visualizing a porch that would accommodate an entire family, and give us a place for the farm-job-teaching UI (user interface).
As you can see, the porch and the house was widened by quite a bit. There were also a lot more details added to the architectural design of the house, bringing it closer to the Craftsman style you see in many of the other buildings in the game.
Even without color, this sketch is already starting to give the Family Farm House a much more cozy feel, and you can imagine a family living happily in it.

Below is a rendering of the final version of the exclusive early unlock house. More details have been added, like the stained glass in the upper windows, the stone work in the chimney and foundation, and decorations like flowers, pillows, and rugs on the porch to help really bring the Family Farm House to life. We hope players will really enjoy their Family Farm House!

The Wedding Reception Wagon! (Official Guide)

Build your Wedding Reception Wagon and start crafting Wedding Satchels to earn rewards.

 

Craft Wedding Satchels and invite Friends to get RSVPs. RSVPs are tickets to redeem rewards.


This menu shows how many RSVPs you have collected and what prizes you are currently eligible to redeem.

A – The total amount of RSVPs you have. You earn RSVPs by gifting Wedding Satchels to your Friends. This number keeps counting up, even as you redeem prizes.

B – The button to use when you want to craft Flower Petal Satchel and gift to your Friends (earn RSVPs).

C – The number of Farm Bucks required to purchase a prize.

D – The amount of RSVPs you will receive once a Friend has accepted that particular Wedding Satchel.

E – The total amount of that particular Satchel you can craft or which is ready to gift to your Friends.

F – If you want to invite your Friends over and gift them a Wedding Satchel, click on this button and a request will post to your feed and let you send request to Friends.

Crafting Wedding Satchels:

In order to earn RSVPs, you must craft the Wedding Satchels and invite your Friends over to pick up their Wedding Satchels. You can craft your very own Wedding Satchels via the Wedding Reception Wagon.
Flower Petal Satchel Recipe


The required ingredients are Cornflowers and Sunflowers.



Confetti Petal Satchel Recipe
The required ingredients are Wool and Streamers. 
Note: To get wool, feed your Adult Sheep and Rabbits (feeding Prized Sheep and Rabbits do not count). Streamers can be posted on the Newsfeed.

Bubble Wand Satchel
The required ingredients are Jar of Bubbles and Strawberries. You can Ask your Friends for Jar of Bubbles.





Collecting RSVPs
To get RSVPs, you will need to enlist the help of your Friends. From the Wedding Reception Wagon menu, click on the “invite” button to send requests to your Friends. Some other Friends will visit your farm from time to time and accept a Wedding Satchels gift too!

Note: If you do not wish to wait, you can purchase these visitors and/or individual RSVP for Farm Bucks from the Wedding Reception Wagon menu.

When RSVPs appear on your farm after a Friend has accepted a Wedding Satchel gift, click on them and you will see the following pop-up:

Redeeming RSVPs for Prizes:

You can redeem the following four prizes with RSVPs:

  • Wedding Dresser
  • Candlestick Lantern
  • White Willow Tree
  • Wedding Ice Sculpture


Note: Redeeming RSVPs for any of the Wedding Satchel prizes will not deduct from your RSVPs count total (your RSVP count will not decrease).

These prizes can be redeemed multiple times in a row, as long as you have enough RSVPs. Once you have collected enough RSVPs to reach the end of the meter, you will earn the Baby Thrianta Rabbit!

The Baby Thrianta Rabbit! can be redeemed with RSVPs or Farm Bucks more than once. You can purchase additional Baby Thrianta Rabbit! for Farm bucks after you have earned the first one for RSVPs. After you have redeemed the Baby Thrianta Rabbit! for the first time, your RSVPs meter will reset and you will be able to earn all the prizes additional times.
