Rancher’s Delight Crafting Recipes: Everything you need to know

11 January 2013 FarmMaster 0

We’ve already brought you a complete guide to the Rancher’s Delight items in the FarmVille 2 marketplace, but if you’re more interested in crafting items for profits (who isn’t?), you’ll also want to check out the new recipes in this theme. There are three new recipes in all, which will each be available for crafting for the next 25 days. Time won’t stop while we chit-chat, so let’s get started on our guide!

The first recipe is the Peanut Butter Cookie, which uses the free crop, the Peanut. These Peanuts cost 50 coins each to plant and can be harvested after four hours. You’ll need a lot of Peanuts, as a single batch of Peanut Butter Cookies requires two Batter and eight Peanuts to create. The Batter itself is a crafting project requiring Wheat and Eggs, and it’s worth 290 coins. The final sale price of a Peanut Butter Cookie is 1,890 coins, which is a fair price considering how quickly Peanuts grow. The next two recipes rely on the two premium trees that are available in this theme, so if you’re looking to only spend coins to make coins, you’ll need to work on your friends’ farms to have a chance to ever create them. Sassafras Rootbeer requires five Sugar and six Sassafras to create. Again, Sassafras comes from the premium Sassafras Tree, which costs 12 Farm Bucks in the store. If you don’t want to invest the Bucks yourself, but your friends do, you can tend these trees on your friends’ farms in the hope of randomly receiving Sassafras when you do. The Sugar can be earned by sending out requests to your neighbors for help, and a single serving of Sassafras Rootbeer can be sold for 1,970 coins. That’s not even 100 coins more than the Peanut Butter Cookie, which can be made for free, so the low selling price is definitely something to keep in mind. The final recipe is the Cashew Crunch Bar, which can be created with three Sticks of Butter and eight Cashew Nuts. The Sticks of Butter are created with Milk, which can be earned from dairy animals like Cows. Like the Sassafras Tree, the Cashew Tree costs 12 Farm Bucks to purchase, so you’ll need to hope for the best when tending your friends’ Cashew Trees if you don’t want to lay down the Farm Bucks to purchase one yourself. Either way, if you do end up making a Cashew Crunch Bar, you’ll be able to sell it for 2,140 coins.Remember, while these recipes will be available for the next 25 days, the resources themselves (the Peanuts and Trees) will only be available to purchase for 18 more days. If you’re looking to stock up on coins via those Peanut Butter Cookies, plant as many as you can, as fast as you can, before they expire!

Hey Farmers!
Love Cows, Goats and yogurt? Then you will love the new Yogurt Creamery! Feed Cows and Goats to fill your Creamery, then harvest for Crafting Yogurt and a chance at Gourmet Yogurt. Collect all 12 Yogurts to win an Exclusive Highland Cow!

Using the Yogurt Creamery
You must have at least four adult Cows and/or Goats on your farm that are not Prized for the Creamery to be functional. Feeding your Cows and Goats fills your Creamery with Milk droplets. Once the Creamery is full of Milk Droplets you can harvest the station for Yogurt.
To know when your station is full, watch the Creamery jug fill up with Milk droplets or hover your mouse over the building and look at the progress bar.

Note: If you lack any requirements (such as not having enough Cows and/or Goats, or needing to wait a bit longer before harvesting), the game will tell you what you are missing. Otherwise you will receive Yogurt after each harvest.

Crafting Yogurt
When you harvest your Creamery, you will always get Plain Yogurt , which you can use in crafting three new Recipes: Strawberry Yogurt, Strawberry Yogurt Filling and Strawberry Yogurt Pie. Look for the Plain Yogurt in your Inventory.

Gourmet Yogurt
When you harvest your Creamery, you also get a chance at a Gourmet Yogurt. There are three types of Gourmet Yogurts you can receive:
1. Uncommon
2. Rare
3. Ultra Rare
These yogurts cannot be used for crafting, but they go into your collection and count towards the Request. Once you have collected all 12 of them, you will win the Exclusive Highland Cow!
The more adult Cows and Goats you have on your Farm, the better your chances are of receiving Gourmet Yogurt!
Helpful Tips
  • Animals that give more Milk fill the station more quickly. For example, a Goat that produces 5 Milk Bottles contributes 5 Milk droplets to the Creamery, where as a Goat that produces 1 Milk Bottle only contributes 1 Milk Droplet.
  • For the same amount of Milk produced, Cows fill the Creamery 3x faster than Goats. For example, a Goat that produces 3 Milk Bottles contributes 3 Milk droplets to the Creamery, but a Cow that produces 3 Milk Bottles contributes 9 Milk droplets.
You will receive a Gourmet Yogurt the first time you harvest your completed Yogurt Creamery. Yogurts linger on your farm similar to Prized Crops. Just click on the Yogurt and it will be added to your collection. After that, each harvest gives you a chance to receive more Gourmet Yogurts.
Yogurt Creamery - Gourmet Yogurt - FarmVille 2
In addition to Gourmet Yogurt, harvesting the Creamery will give you additional XP points to help you level!
If you do not want to wait to collect the Gourmet Yogurt, you can use Farm Bucks to skip these steps and get the new baby Highland Cow right away!
Yogurt Creamery - Collection Complete - FarmVille 2
Your new Highland Cow needs baby bottles to reach adulthood, just like your other animals. Once it has matured, it will produce Milk, which can be sold or used for Crafting.
Additional Information:
  • In addition to the regular output, you get an accumulation of Milk droplets in the Creamery.
  • Minimum of four Cows and/or Goats on any given farm is required to use the Yogurt Creamery.
  • If you do not wish to use the Yogurt Creamery feature, it can be sold (frame only) or stored in your Inventory.
  • If you want to see how many milk droplets are needed to harvest, hover your cursor over the Creamery.
  • Limited to one Yogurt Creamery per farm.
  • Sheep and sheep milk do not interact with the Yogurt Creamery. Only Adult Goats and Cows.

“Fireworks Wagon: Everything you need to know”

        31 December 2012 FarmMaster 0

In honor of the upcoming New Year’s Eve holiday, Zynga has released a new Fireworks Wagon in FarmVille 2.

For a limited time, players will be able to build this Fireworks Wagon and collect fireworks by harvesting crops. As you collect fireworks, you’ll unlock new prizes for your farm, but you’ll need to build the Fireworks Wagon first.

You can find the base of the Fireworks Wagon in the store under the buildings tab. It’s free, so simply place it somewhere on your farm to get started. You’ll need to collect eight Wood Planks, eight Wagon Wheels and eight Springs to finish the first stage of the Wagon’s construction, with all three of these items being earned by sending out individual requests to your neighbors. From there, you’ll need to ask four friends to come be construction workers inside the Wagon to finish it completely.

As you harvest crops, you’ll randomly find fireworks in the same way that you’d find a Prized Crop. You can also ask your friends to send you fireworks outright if your crops simply aren’t producing enough for your liking.

These fireworks can be used to earn up to five prizes within the Fireworks Wagon, starting with a “Roaring Maureen” firework and ending with an exclusive Goat for your farm. Here’s the full breakdown:

“Roaring Maureen” Firework – 15 Fireworks
“The Professor” Firework – 30 Fireworks
        New Year’s Scarecrow – 60 Fireworks
        New Year’s Party Table – 145 Fireworks

If you can earn one of each of these four prizes, you’ll receive the exclusive goat, but keep in mind that each prize requires its full amount of fireworks to earn. That is, once you reach the 30 firework mark, you won’t be able to earn both the Roaring Maureen and the Professor, as earning the Professor would take 15 away from your running total. This means that you’ll need to collect over 200 fireworks to win all of the prizes in this event, but you have 18 days to get it done. Good luck!

        25 December 2012 FarmMaster 0

        Building the Crafting Workshop

Your first step is collecting construction parts. You will need the following items to start building your Crafting Workshop:

        • Drafting Paper
        • Wood Plank
Click on the “Ask” button to send requests for the items to your Neighbors. You can also purchase Pressure Gauge, Drafting Paper and Wood Plank for Farm Bucks if you do not wish to wait for your friends to respond to your requests.

        Crafting Workshop - FarmVille 2
        Inside the Crafting Workshop
Once you have finished building your Crafting Workshop, you can begin crafting items, which will earn you Coins and XP. In addition to this, some of the Recipes you craft can be used to decorate your farm. After you open the Crafting Workshop, you will see which items you are able to craft. The items available to you depend on a couple of things:
        • What level you are: Recipes in the Crafting Workshop have level requirements. This means you have to keep leveling up to unlock new Crafting items. The more advanced you are in the game, the more complicated your Recipes will be — but they will sell for more coins, too!
        • What Ingredients you have available: As you harvest Crops and collect from your Animals, you can use these items to craft items.

There are three different stations inside the Workshop for three different types of Recipes you can Craft:

        • Workbench: Wood Recipes
        • Loom: Wool Recipes
        • Blacksmith: Metal Recipes
Note: Rotate the Workshop to view a different station!
        Crafting Workshop - FarmVille 2
        Crafting
Crafting Workshop Recipes require new Resources and Ingredients. Here’s what they are and how to get them:
Ingredients: Raw ingredients come from your farm or Neighbors. Get them by harvesting Crops and Trees, feeding your Animals and visiting your Neighbors. Some Ingredients can only be obtained from your friends, so be sure to ask nicely!
        • Crops: Produce Ingredients like Blueberries, Strawberries, etc.
        • Trees: Produce tree fruit like Olives, etc.
        • Animals: Produce Ingredients like Fine Saddles, Horseshoes and Wool after you feed them.
        • Glass: This is an Ingredient you will need to get from your Neighbors.
Are you in a hurry to craft, but don’t have the Ingredients you need? You can purchase Ingredients with Farm Bucks from the Recipe Card (see below).
        Crafting Workshop - FarmVille 2
Note: You can see which Recipe(s) a crop, tree, or animal product goes into when you mouse over its icon in the general store:
        Crafting Workshop - FarmVille 2
Crafted Goods: These are Recipes that you make in your Crafting Workshop from raw Ingredients. Use them to complete Final Recipes (see description below), which can then be sold in your Market Stand. Completed Crafted Goods, such as Blueberry Dye, Blue Fabric, and Wool Thread, cannot be sold.
Finished Products (Final Recipes): These are Recipes that you can sell for coins in your Market Stand. These Recipes require Crafted Goods to complete. They are marked with a star symbol.
Finished Products (Decorations): These are Recipes that you can place on your farm as decorations and stored in your Inventory. These Recipes require Crafted Goods to complete. They are marked with an Inventory symbol.

The Crafting Workshop Menu displays all of the Recipes you currently have available. To access this menu, simply click on the Workshop.

The Recipe thumbnails have symbols on them to indicate different things:

        Crafting Workshop - Padlock - FarmVille 2

        Recipe Card Organization:
Recipe card thumbnails are arranged in a column. These columns are referred to as Recipe Chains. Recipe Chains are designed to show you the natural progression of a Final Recipe, so you are able to create the Finished Product easier. For example:
Leather: Requires Fine Saddles to complete
Leather Pouch: Requires 1 Fine Saddle and 2 Wool Threads to complete
Leather Coinpurse: Requires 1 Leather Pouch and 1 Metal Sheet to complete
The Leather Coinpurse is the Final Recipe in this Chain. It requires the first two Crafted Goods (Leather Pouch + Metal Sheet) in this Chain to complete.
Crafting Workshop - Leather Coin Purse - FarmVille 2
Note: Clicking the green “Go Home” button in the corner of a recipe card will take you back to the Recipe thumbnail screen in your Workshop.
Some Recipes require a Crafted Goods instead of Ingredients. If you come across a Recipe like this, you may feel a bit confused. But no need to worry, making the required Crafted Good is simple! Just click on the “Craft” button located under the Good you need to make. This will open up the applicable Recipe Card.
        Crafting Workshop - FarmVille 2
Once you have all the ingredients that you need to finish your Recipe, click the “Make 1” button on the Recipe Card. It should turn green to let you know that you’re ready to go.

After you click “Make It,” your recipe should craft instantly. Once it’s made, it will pop out of the station and dance merrily around your Workshop before placing itself into your inventory. Don’t worry if you don’t mouse over it fast enough to scoop it up—it will go there automatically!
        Powering Your Workshop
Creating all of those great products isn’t easy. To stay in business, the Crafting Workshop requires Power (Crafting Energy). Every time you use your Workshop to make a Recipe, it will deduct from your power reserves. The amount of power you have left can be found at the bottom of the Crafting Menu.
Note: Both the Crafting Workshop and the Crafting Kitchen use Power.
Out of power? There are a few different ways to get more:
        • Harvest your Furnace.
        • Purchase Power Packs for Farm Bucks
        • Give it some time— Power for your Crafting Workshop gradually replenishes itself after 1 hour.
        • Ask your friends to send you Power (see below).
        Crafting Workshop - FarmVille 2
        Decorating
You can decorate your farm with Finished Products, such as Fences. If you would like to place a crafted item on your farm, open your Inventory and select the “ENTER” tab to find your items. Not ready to decorate? No problem, simply keep it in your Inventory until you want to use it.
        Earning Coins!
Once you’re finished Crafting, it’s time to earn some money! Your Finished Products can be sold in your Market Stand for Coin. The more difficult the Recipe, the higher the Coin yield will be. As a reminder, you won’t be able to sell Crafted Goods in the Market. Only Ingredients and Finished Products can be sold.
        Additional Information:
        • The Crafting Workshop shares Crafting Power resources with the Crafting Kitchen.
          • Note: You can also harvest the Furnace for more Crafting Power.
          • Once completed, you can do the following with the Crafting Workshop:
            • Store in Inventory
            • Rotate (two angles)
            • Limited to one Crafting Workshop per farm.
We hope you enjoy our latest release and we are interested in hearing your feedback! Please comment below this guide if you have any thoughts or opinions you would like to share about this feature!

Winter Decorating Crafting Recipes: Everything you need to know

        15 December 2012 FarmMaster 0
The Christmas event has absolutely exploded in FarmVille 2, with new quests to complete inside the holiday tree, a lonely reindeer to lure into our farms and much much more.

On top of all of that, there are three new recipes to cook in the Crafting Kitchen that go along with the new “Winter Decorating” item theme in the store. We’re here with a guide to these three recipes, letting you know just how valuable they are in the long run. Let’s get started!

The first recipe is Rutabaga Bisque, which is created using one Broth and 10 Rutabagas. Rutabagas are the new coin crop in this Winter Decorating item theme, and they can be planted for 32 coins per square. They take just four hours to grow, and can be sold for 46 coins each, if you choose not to use them in this recipe. That makes 10 of them worth 460 coins. Meanwhile, the Broth is a recipe in and of itself that requires three Water and six Onions to craft. A single Broth will sell for 420 coins, making the total ingredient investment cost 880. A single Rutabaga Bisque can be sold for 1,460 coins, so there is a nice profit to be made from each Bisque, if you’re going after all of the Mastery Ribbons for Rutabagas anyway.

The second recipe is a simple Cinnamon Bun, which is created using three Batter and six Cinnamon each. This is technically a premium recipe, since Cinnamon can most easily be earned from the premium Cinnamon Tree. A Cinnamon Tree costs 12 Farm Bucks in the store, but if you’re not interested in purchasing one, you still have a chance of earning Cinnamon by visiting friends that

did purchase one and tend those. If you have the Cinnamon requirement under control, you’ll still need to craft Batters using Flour and Eggs, with Flour coming from Wheat. This is a complex crafting recipe, and a single Batter sells for 290 coins. Three Batters are worth 870 coins in total, so take that into account when looking at the Cinnamon Bun’s sell price of 2,240 coins.

The final recipe in this new trio is Mulberry Pie, which is also a “premium” recipe. A single pie requires one Pie Crust and 14 Mulberries to create, with Mulberries coming from a Mulberry Tree. A Mulberry Tree is available to purchase in the store for 12 Farm Bucks, and it takes 18 hours to be ready to harvest. Meanwhile, a Pie Crust can be created using one Stick of Butter and two Flour. Again, the Flour is created using Wheat, while Butter comes from Milk. A single Pie Crust can be sold for 380 coins, but the final sale price of this Mulberry Pie makes up for that investment, as it can be sold for 2,830 coins.

All three of these recipes will be available to craft for the next 22 days, while the Winter Decorating items themselves will disappear after 16.
