Farmville 2: Learn how to accelerate the mastery of our animals!

 As we have just explained to you very soon we will be able to obtain master tapes for our animals!
Once our animals mastered the maximum they will give us more resources  to accelerate the mastery of our animals new ingredients and new crops will soon be available.
  • Foods turbos will feed our animals even when they are not hungry! So with these foods need to wait to grow your pet.
  • We have enough information may crop turbos but it seems that some cultures are considered existing turbos. You will see an icon appear certainly to these cultures to show that they are “turbo” and therefore they grow instantly without waiting for hours  but it is only good guesses we’ll tell you more when we know everything!

Here are some words from our files:

  • Turbo uses food for faster access control.
  • Pursue the use of your farm to gain new ribbon control. Cultures used turbo for faster access to the control.
  • Pursue the use of your farm to gain new ribbon control. Turbo uses food for faster access control.

Combine buildings to create something new!

13 January 2013 FarmMaster 0

To say that some of FarmVille 2‘s buildings are expensive would be an understatement. Players with deep pockets can purchase some great looking buildings for upwards of 48 Farm Bucks, but are these buildings really worth the bragging rights? Do they do anything other than look pretty? Well, if you’re willing to purchase more than one of them, you can actually create something even grander than the individual pieces, which we have to admit is pretty neat.

If you’re willing to shell out the Farm Bucks, you can combine an “Economy” level Log Cabin with a “Deluxe” Log Cabin to form a much larger home. Whether the home is actually larger or it’s just an optical illusion will be up to you, but when you place an Economy Log Cabin next to a Log Cabin Deluxe, you’ll form one much larger Log Cabin, fit for all of your virtual farmer’s needs. The only catch? An Economy Log Cabin costs at least 28 Farm Bucks, while a Deluxe model costs at least 44 Farm Bucks, depending on the color you choose.

Still, if you’re already willing to purchase these buildings for individual use on your farms, this helpful design tip is definitely something to keep in mind. I mean, just look at the final product when you combine three (see at right)! Not only will you earn tons of XP for simply purchasing the building, but you’ll have one of the coolest looking structures on your farm, so make sure to purchase these cabins (if you’re interested) before they expire in 15 days.

Are you going to try this design trick on your FarmVille 2 farm, or are the cabins too expensive for your tastes? Let us know in the comments!

Dairy Animals!

10 January 2013 FarmMaster 0

Hey Farmers!

The General Store is currently showing that some Dairy Animals will be expiring within the next couple of hours. Please know that this is a bug and that the affected Animals will not be expiring at the advertised time. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused and we would like to thank you for your patience while we address this issue.

Winter Decorating Crafting Recipes: Everything you need to know

15 December 2012 FarmMaster 0
The Christmas event has absolutely exploded in FarmVille 2, with new quests to complete inside the holiday tree, a lonely reindeer to lure into our farms and much much more.

On top of all of that, there are three new recipes to cook in the Crafting Kitchen that go along with the new “Winter Decorating” item theme in the store. We’re here with a guide to these three recipes, letting you know just how valuable they are in the long run. Let’s get started!

The first recipe is Rutabaga Bisque, which is created using one Broth and 10 Rutabagas. Rutabagas are the new coin crop in this Winter Decorating item theme, and they can be planted for 32 coins per square. They take just four hours to grow, and can be sold for 46 coins each, if you choose not to use them in this recipe. That makes 10 of them worth 460 coins. Meanwhile, the Broth is a recipe in and of itself that requires three Water and six Onions to craft. A single Broth will sell for 420 coins, making the total ingredient investment cost 880. A single Rutabaga Bisque can be sold for 1,460 coins, so there is a nice profit to be made from each Bisque, if you’re going after all of the Mastery Ribbons for Rutabagas anyway.

The second recipe is a simple Cinnamon Bun, which is created using three Batter and six Cinnamon each. This is technically a premium recipe, since Cinnamon can most easily be earned from the premium Cinnamon Tree. A Cinnamon Tree costs 12 Farm Bucks in the store, but if you’re not interested in purchasing one, you still have a chance of earning Cinnamon by visiting friends that

did purchase one and tend those. If you have the Cinnamon requirement under control, you’ll still need to craft Batters using Flour and Eggs, with Flour coming from Wheat. This is a complex crafting recipe, and a single Batter sells for 290 coins. Three Batters are worth 870 coins in total, so take that into account when looking at the Cinnamon Bun’s sell price of 2,240 coins.

The final recipe in this new trio is Mulberry Pie, which is also a “premium” recipe. A single pie requires one Pie Crust and 14 Mulberries to create, with Mulberries coming from a Mulberry Tree. A Mulberry Tree is available to purchase in the store for 12 Farm Bucks, and it takes 18 hours to be ready to harvest. Meanwhile, a Pie Crust can be created using one Stick of Butter and two Flour. Again, the Flour is created using Wheat, while Butter comes from Milk. A single Pie Crust can be sold for 380 coins, but the final sale price of this Mulberry Pie makes up for that investment, as it can be sold for 2,830 coins.

All three of these recipes will be available to craft for the next 22 days, while the Winter Decorating items themselves will disappear after 16.

FarmVille 2 Strategy Guide: Level Up, Water, Crafting, Resources and More

9 November 2012 FarmMaster 0
This post will guide you how to make full use of you water, resources, level up fast in FarmVille 2. The specifics of these strategies will vary slightly depending on what level you are at, and change as your levels increase.
Water Strategy
Note:  If you can, visit your farm once an hour
  • First visit (hour 0), all your water goes to new planting, with any leftover to trees. Spend to 0, clear inbox, spend to 0;
  • Hour 1: Spend to 0 on trees of five plot visits growing your 24-hour crops. Leave your main plots alone even if there are visiting neighbors. Clear your inbox and spend to 0 again;
  • Hour 2: Spend to 0 on trees or five plot visits, clear your inbox and spend to 0 again;
  • Hour 3: Spend to 0, clear inbox, but DON’T SPEND the bonus water you get from your inbox. Save this for the next crop cycle in one hour;
  • Hour 4: This is a crop cycle hour – same as Hour 0 except you are also using water for neighbor visits

Resource Strategy

Do not sell harvested crops, eggs, cheese, milk, etc. unless you really need the coin for something Maintain savings until you get to about 500 eggs, 500 cheeses, 500 milks. Use your 24-hour crops for feed unless you run out, then use other crops as needed but only as needed. Anything above 500 of milk, eggs, cheese can be sold because you will continuously be making more.

Inbox Strategy

Spend water and bottles before clearing your inbox. Never let your inbox get to more than 125 messages waiting if you are playing the game (the number it shows is notoriously behind and you never want to get full).

Crafting Strategy

You want lime trees, nutmeg trees, plum trees, apricot trees as soon as you can get them. Overall, the best recipes are potato salad, muffins, plum betty, apricot trifle, lime water, etc. that provide high XP and decent coin return without a bunch of crafting steps. Do nothing with your potatoes until you can make potato salad, convert your wheat to flour and make batter and pie crusts (about three batters for each one pie crust) in anticipation for plums, nutmeg, sweet potatoes.

Expansion Strategy

Expand as soon as you can afford it. You can spend Farm Bucks wisely to get these expansions quickly – buy out the crafting portion of the requirements and complete the other two. The crafting portions are the only ones that are level-specific. So for a few farm bucks, you can get the expansions well before you would have if you waited for the crafting to become available. To get the farm bucks, check the OFFERS tab in game to see if there is anything you need or want to buy for someone for XMAS, birthdays, etc. Get the Farm Bucks as a bonus for bying these items at regular price. Only spend actual money buying farm bucks if you really want them and have found nothing you want in the offers tab.

Level Up Strategy

As you get near leveling up, plant your highest unlocked 24-hour crop with each crop cycle until your farm is completely planted with that crop. Then, you may want to wait one more crop cycle (four hours) doing nothing but watering trees. Try to get everything watered and fertilized before leveling up. Then level up and harvest EVERYTHING to give you the highest levels of XP and crafting resources. Often, this will give you enough feed to last at least halfway through your next level.

Fall Harvest Items Guide

9 November 2012 FarmMaster 0

Even though the FarmVille has paid its attention on Christmas, the FarmVille 2 is still on Fall Harvest.
This time the FarmVille 2 has launched some new Fall Harvest items, and almost of them can be brought in next 20 days.
By Brandy Shaul From games.com
While the original FarmVille may have already shifted its focus to Christmas with the launch of Mistletoe Lane, FarmVille 2 is taking things a bit more slowly, as the game has just received a set of traditional Fall items in an appropriately named “Fall Harvest” limited edition item theme. ere with a look at these new items, which include crops and trees.
Crops
Painted Hill Corn
  • Costs: 32 coins per square
  • Harvest Time: 4 Hours
  • Can be sold for: 46 coins
  • Can be turned into: 5 Animal Feed
  • XP Gained: 3 per square

Trees

  • Crabapple Tree – 12 Farm Bucks
  • Sugar Maple Tree – 12 Farm Bucks
Both of these trees produce items that are used in crafting recipes, so if you’re a fan of crafting these limited edition recipes, you’ll either need to shell out the Farm Bucks price or hope that you can claim some from your friends’ trees (if your friends purchase them, that is).

Animals
  • Jacob Sheep – 30 Farm Bucks
  • Speckled Sussex Chicken – 27 Farm Bucks
  • Baby Jacob Sheep – 21 Farm Bucks
  • Baby Speckled Sussex Chicken – 18 Farm Bucks

Decorations

  • Corn Maze Block – 375 coins
  • Corn Maze Left – 2 Farm Bucks
  • Corn Maze Right – 2 Farm Bucks
  • Acorn Fireplace – 14 Farm Bucks
  • Altar of the Corn – 8 Farm Bucks
  • Bobbing for Apples – 14 Farm Bucks
  • Harvest Hay Wagon – 16 Farm Bucks
  • Maisy the Scarecrow – 12 Farm Bucks

    It’s unfortunate that more items aren’t available for coins in this theme, but if you have a few Farm Bucks to spare, you can still celebrate fall by building your own Corn Maze, using the “Left” and “Right” pieces to create corners and borders. If you’re interested in building a Corn Maze (or purchasing any other items), you’ll need to do so within the next 20 days, before these items expire from the store. It’s always possible that moreFall Harvest items will be released before now and then, so keep checking back for more!

    Hard Play/Leveling Up Strategies

    8 November 2012 FarmMaster 0

    TIPS TO LEVEL UP QUICKLY

    Not everyone plays the game with the sole purpose of reaching the top level as quickly as possible. Some are happy to place decorations and have a “pretty” farm.
    There’s nothing at all wrong with that. This article, though, is for people who are interested in getting to the top level as quickly as possible, and making as much money as possible getting there!

    This article will specify strategies to maximize coin and XP yields. For tips on general game play, read my “TIPS/TRICKS FOR ANY LEVEL” article using the blue link in my signature at the bottom of this post (or clicking here: http://forums.zynga.com/showthread.p…-at-any-level!

    This post assumes you have read that other article and are incorporating those tips to maximize your water/bottles – stuff like that.

    Finally, the specifics of these strategies will vary slightly depending on what level you are at, and change as your levels increase. The underlying theories hold, though – I tried to keep things for mid-level players though I can’t remember when some of the crops/trees come online.

    Now, in addition to those general tips in my other article, here’s what to do to maximize your growth:

    Use of Space: Don’t place any decorations. You can do that once you reach your goal of getting to the highest level. For now, every square in your farm should be dedicated to plots, trees, silos/troughs/crafting, or something that has a purpose. Your animals need space, but just enough so they aren’t so bunched up you can’t do anything with them.

    At lower levels, it may not be possible to place enough plots AND have an area dedicated to animal containment. As you expand, however, it’s very convenient to create a special place for them – you will be feeding them A LOT! Once you have the space, I’d also suggest (as a convenience) a small nursery area to keep your babies separate from the crowd – this makes feeding them easier. It’s not worth wasting plot space for, but it is a convenience once you’ve gotten some expansions out of the way.

    Animal Strategy: Fertilizer is the most important thing you can control in the game – you need a lot of it. Get as many troughs as you can and keep as many animals as you can at all times. When coins are an issue in lower levels, you want 2/3rds of your animals to be Nubian Goats, and 1/3rd to be Cochin chickens. Later (about Level 25-30) when coins no longer are an issue and your farm becomes highly profitable, switch this to 2/3rds Cochins and 1/3rd Nubians. Unless you want to purchase Ibex Goats with Farm Bucks or are completing a quest, there is no reason to have any other animal on your farm.

    Feed your animals every time the goats get hungry (every 15 minutes). Feed your chickens more often than that if you need the fertilizer for a crop cycle. Continue feeding them until you have 100 fertilizer in supply, then let them rest until you need fertilizer again.

    As soon as an animal prizes, store it if you can or sell it if you can’t, and replace it by purchasing a baby animal of the same kind. When you first visit the game after being gone for a while, “X” out (close) your inbox messages that appear and feed any babies you have all the bottles you can. Then spend down your water watering anything you can to about 10 waters left. THEN open your inbox and clear your messages. Get in the habit of spending water and bottles before clearing your inbox.

    Prized animals are of no use to the farmer interested in maximizing profit/xp. They produce less than 10% of the resources that the same animal does when it’s not prized.

    Having as many animals as you can is important. One trough will cost you 45 farm bucks and the rest are available for coin. This is a wise purchase *IF* you are interested in spending Farm Bucks on the game (see Expansion Strategy about how to get Farm Bucks at no relative cost).

    Crop Strategy: Place as many plots as you have well space + 10 to 15. If you have 4 wells, place 50-55 plots. If you use the five plots trick & your neighbors understand it, increase this by another 10 plots. Also, don’t count your five plots in this total Consider your crops in 4-hour “cycles.” Each day:

    · For the first “cycle,” place 1/3rd of your plots with potatoes (as soon as they become unlocked to you). If potatoes aren’t available, choose another 12 hour crop. Place the rest in wheat. Water & fertilize;

    · When your wheat is done, your wells will be ready. Harvest your wheat. If any neighbors have visited, check to see if they are visiting any blank plots. If they are, plant them with your highest 24-hour crop (strawberries, sunflowers, carrots, cucumbers), water, fertilize, use your neighbor to speed-grow, and harvest. If the neighbor works one or more of your potato plots, allow them to speedgrow then harvest;

    · Once all your neighbor visits are used, plant your crops so that 2/3rd of your plots are now potatoes. Basically, 1/3rd will now have 8 hours left, and 1/3rd will have 12 hours left. Place wheat on the remainder plots. Water & fertilize;

    · Four hours later, harvest your wheat, accept your neighbor help (plant your 24-hour crop water and fertilize in any blank spot before accepting the help), then plant everything with potatoes.

    · If you are still up for the next cycle, clear your ready potatoes and replace with potatoes. Usually, though, you will not get more than three crop cycles in in a day and will end up starting over when you wake up.

    FERTILIZE EVERYTHING EVERY TIME! Every tree, every crop, every time. You have until it’s ready, but do it before it’s ready!

    Water Strategy:
     Using the crop strategy above, you ill end up with more and more water available for your trees with each crop cycle, such that the third cr cycle will be mostly for trees. If you can, visit your farm once an hour.

    · First visit (hour 0), all your water goes to new planting, with any leftover to trees. Spend to 0, clear inbox, spend to 0;

    · Hour 1: Spend to 0 on trees of five plot visits growing your 24-hour crops. Leave your main plots alone even if there are visiting neighbors. Clear your inbox and spend to 0 again;

    · Hour 2: Spend to 0 on trees or five plot visits, clear your inbox and spend to 0 again;

    · Hour 3: Spend to 0, clear inbox, but DON’T SPEND the bonus water you get from your inbox. Save this for the next crop cycle in one hour;

    · Hour 4: This is a crop cycle hour – same as Hour 0 except you are also using water for neighbor visits

    Resource Strategy:
     Do not sell harvested crops, eggs, cheese, milk, etc. unless you really need the coin for something (like an expansion, to buy a new animal, etc.) Maintain savings until you get to about 500 eggs, 500 cheeses, 500 milks. Use your 24-hour crops for feed unless you run out, then use other crops as needed but only as needed. Anything above 500 of milk, eggs, cheese can be sold because you will continuously be making more.

    Inbox Strategy:
     Spend water and bottles before clearing your inbox. NEVER let your inbox get to more than 125 messages waiting if you are playing the game (the number it shows is notoriously behind and you never want to get full).

    Crafting Strategy:
     You want lime trees, nutmeg trees, plum trees, apricot trees as soon as you can get them. Overall, the best recipes are potato salad, muffins, plum betty, apricot trifle, lime water, etc. that provide high XP and decent coin return without a bunch of crafting steps. Do nothing with your potatoes until you can make potato salad, convert your wheat to flour and make batter and pie crusts (about three batters for each one pie crust) in anticipation for plums, nutmeg, sweet potatoes.

    Expansion Strategy:

    Level Up Strategy:
     As you get near leveling up, plant your highest unlocked 24-hour crop with each crop cycle until your farm is completely planted with that crop. Then, you may want to wait one more crop cycle (four hours) doing nothing but watering trees. Try to get everything watered and fertilized before leveling up. Then level up and harvest EVERYTHING to give you the highest levels of XP and crafting resources. Often, this will give you enough feed to last at least halfway through your next level.

    Requests Strategy: If you have a LOT (like 1,500 or more) neighbors and/or active FV2 friends, you will almost never need to send requests for bottles (remember to spend them before clearing your inbox). Water requests can REALLY help when you are preparing to level up since you will basically need to water as much of your whole farm as you can twice in a row. Request power from the crafting kitchen every day until you get 30 in reserve – whether you need it then or not. For sugar, plan it out – wait until you have all your farmhands, your power is full, and you have at least some in your inventory. Then blast out requests for sugar to half or more of your friends. Check the recipe (powdered sugar, heavy cream, blackberry jam, whatever) FREQUENTLY like every 30-seconds in the beginning and craft them as they come in so you never get to 12. Continue this until you are out of power or until the requests stop coming. Use your farmhands as necessary to get more power (put them in the kitchen), then use your inventory power. If done right with enough friends, you only have to do this once a week or so to get all the sugar-based stuff you need.
    There are tweaks to this for every level, but I hope this gives you food for thought as to how you can maximize your gameplay for experience points and coin. Maximizing recipes for coin can hurt you in the long run by getting your crop cycles out of whack and taking too many crafting power for just a few additional coin. Feeding your goats once will usually provide enough coin to make up the difference – so we’re not talking about a lot of coin here.

    Bottom line is play frequently and keep those animals feeding/cycling, grow all the wheat you can (cycling longer crops so you have water for your trees) and sell nothing expect crafted goods unless you are over your 500 limit, or really need the coin. If you can convince your neighbors to help you with the Five Plots trick, you can get 5,000 to 10,000XP per day using it once you get to blue ribbon on cucumbers. It takes a lot of posting to your FB wall, messages asking individuals to please help, etc. But it’s very much worth it if you really want to maximize things and level up quickly!

    This guide is by no means definitive, and I don’t consider myself an expert at all. Just some basic strategies I have come across that may not be the perfect way to play the game, but definitely have helped my keep ahead of almost all of my friends in leveling up.

    Good luck & happy farming!!

    Profit Maximization Guide FarmVille 2

    19 October 2012 FarmMaster 0

    Inspired by Lotus Blade’s recipe guide, I spent some time today putting together a spreadsheet to figure out how to best maximize your profit in FV2. I’m still working through it and will post updates in this thread as I have them. I’m also happy to post a link to the spreadsheet if anyone wants to double-check my math. I have some notes as to how far I’m at in this project, what I am and am not showing here, etc., but I thought most people would want the most interesting information first.

    Last point before diving into the advice: when I talk about maximizing profit, I’m talking about making *the most money over the shortest period of time*. Obviously this only works if you are basically playing 24/7, so keep that in mind as you are reading. It also considers only money, not XP.

    Oh, and if you like the guide then please add me as a neighbor. You can find my FB page at https://www.facebook.com/jake.reichert.

    Overall Strategy
    The specifics of this are explained below, but here is the very condensed version that I believe will make you the most money per day.

    • You can completely maximize your profit by only producing powdered sugar for $3425/hr. However, getting to this amount requires you to get 18 sugars/hour, so produce as many of these as you have sugar for and then switch to other items.
    • If you find yourself with sugar and you don’t have (or can’t wait for) wheat to grow for batter, then use your sugar for candy apples.
    • For the remainder of the Halloween event, the next best option is using persimmon trees to produce witchin’ batter. Even though scary cake gives you more profit per item, it is better overall to use the sugar you need in scary cake for powdered sugar instead, and to just sell witchin’ batter after you run out of sugar.
    • Plant corn for feed all day long on spare plots.
    • Plan ahead for when you will run out of goats and chickens; it is much harder to make money fast without access to animal products. If you are about to run out but have at least six eggs left (and a persimmon tree), plant two wheat and make witchin’ batter for $244/hr. If you are short on goats and chickens for milk & eggs but you have a lot of friends who can give you sugar, plant wheat and make powdered sugar for a maximum of $342/hr. If you don’t have a lot of friends who can give you sugar (or you need quick cash right now), plant tomatoes and make them into tomato paste @ $100/hr.
    • assuming you will be logging off for 8 hours at night, plant pumpkins or onions overnight for feed. They aren’t nearly as profitable as blueberries per hour, but you can turn them into feed at a good rate.

    Seasonal information
    I’m putting this at the top because a lot of players who have already read the guide just want to know this information. I cover the various seasonal items here.

    • witchin’ batter: this remains the best item in the game other than powdered sugar.
    • candy apple: at $2,580/hr this is good, but still not as good as witchin’ batter or powdered sugar. However, if you have a lot of apples and sugar and can’t (or don’t want to) wait for wheat to grow, this is the best non-flour item in the game.
    • skeleton cookie: at $1842/hr this is good, but notice that it uses just as much batter as witchin’ batter to craft, and it is only makes you about 60% of the profit. The one upside is that it uses much less expensive lemon trees than persimmons, so it won’t take you nearly as long to pay back your tree investment. As an added bonus, you can use lemons in lemonade recipes – by way of comparison, persimmons aren’t used in any other recipes once witchin’ batter goes away.
    • garlic: as a crop, it’s terrible. Slow growing time, worthless as feed, and makes one of the lowest profits per hour. Avoid (no pun intended).
    • garlic bread: even more terrible. It takes forever to grow the ingredients, uses batter that you could be using for much more valuable items, and only makes you $146/recipe more than you would make from selling the ingredients (which are already pretty worthless). Avoid.

    Maximum Overall Profit
    Cost of materials is a factor in FV2, but time is a much bigger factor. There are three ways in which time affects your profit:

    • time to replenish water (20/hr)
    • time to grow crops/trees
    • time until animals can produce products

    I have done my calculations to take all three of these factors into account, as well as the cost in gold of materials. Ultimately, to figure out the best way to allocate your resources you need to ask yourself these two questions:

    • If I only produced materials to make this recipe, how much money would I make per hour maximum given the above time constraints?
    • What could I be doing with the water or raw materials other than making this thing? Would that make me more or less money?

    When you anything below referring to “maximum profit”, what it really means is this: taking into consideration all of the time factors above, how much money could I make per hour selling *only this item* if I planted the optimal number of crops and trees? It also assumes that you have no wells for extra water; if so, then the true value will be higher (as water always ends up being the ultimate limiting factor).

    Enough theory; I have more of that below. Here are the results that most people will care about.

    Highest Overall Value: powdered sugar. If you can get the required amount of sugar, this will make you a whopping $3,425/hr. However, in order to keep this up you would need to get 422 sugars each day. Consequently, for most people you will never reach the theoretical maximum. Instead, what you should do is figure out how many sugars you feel you can get per day, divide this by three (since you need 3 sugars/powdered sugar), and plant 4x that many plots of wheat throughout the day. For example, if you think you can get nine friends to commit to giving you sugar, then you would need (9/3)*4 plots of wheat during the day, or 12 plots. This will give you the absolute best return on investment in the game. Once your wheat is ready, use that plus sugar to craft powdered sugar and sell it. This is the highest value item there is, so always do this before doing anything else.

    Best, for overall strategy: witchin’ batter. If you multiply the amount of water used per hour by the profit, this is more profitable than anything else except for powdered sugar. It only uses 1.8 units water/hr to produce if you have three persimmon trees producing at the same time, and doing that gets you $244/hr. This means you can actually plant ingredients for 10.5 witchin’ batters every hour, for a total profit of $2,609/hr. However, note that you will need 30 persimmon trees in order to get to this rate, and at $4500/tree it would take you a while to get there. Best strategy is to just get as many persimmon trees in the ground (ideally in multiples of three) as you feel comfortable with; at the end of October this recipe will likely go away, at which point you only make $40/hr/tree on raw persimmons.

    Technically you will make more money per recipe for scary cake than for witchin’ batter, but this would require you to use your limited sugar on scary cake instead of powdered sugar – and it is *always* better to craft powdered sugar for money than scary cake. Consequently, witchin’ batter is better than scary cake for overall profit maximization.

    Worst: tomato paste, ganache, butter. To get the maximum profit for these three items as listed below, you will be using all of your available water every hour. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t ever create them, however. Ganache probably isn’t worthwhile to craft since it uses your valuable sugar, and I haven’t yet found any recipes using butter that are really worthwhile. As mentioned below, however, tomato paste is a great “filler” crop that you can use if you find yourself close to the 30 water maximum and you need to use it or lose it.

    Maximizing tree value
    The persimmon tree slightly edges out blueberries and tomatoes at $41.25/hr. They are also necessary for witchin’ batter, so if you are planting trees these are the ones you want.

    Maximizing Feed Value
    You can produce 40 feed/hr if all you produce is corn. Blueberries also produce the same amount of feed in the same amount of time, but they produce less profit than corn (2 vs. 4). Given the choice between the two, then, corn offers you more options for the same amount of time and money invested.

    Note that strawberries will minimize the dollar cost of feed production (it only costs $18/plot to produce 10 feeds, as opposed to $20/plot for corn to produce 2 feeds), but you lose a lot of *opportunity* cost. In the 24 hours it takes to produce strawberries you can produce (and use for a profit) 288 crops of corn. So while other guides are correct that the way to minimize the cost of any given recipe is to use strawberries for feed, that won’t maximize your total profit.

    This is similar to selling items in bulk; the seller makes less money on each individual item but they make more money overall because they sell more of those items.

    Farm Products

    In this section I’m talking about eggs and milk, and I’m comparing the value of production of these products to the value of blueberries needed to produce them. I am also assuming that you get one egg per chicken, and one milk per goat. I know that sometimes you get more than one, but since that seems to happen at random I need to assume the minimum. I also haven’t factored in the cost when using the higher-level chickens and goats that are guaranteed to drop more; I will do this in a future update.

    It is always better to produce eggs and milk, if possible, than to sell the equivalent blueberries. Goats producing one milk each yield $255/hr, and chickens producing one egg each yield a decent $345/hr. It is also always better to use these products in high-value recipes than to sell them directly.

    Maximizing Crop Value
    You shouldn’t worry too much about maximizing the value of individual crops, as no crops are as valuable as the products you can create with them. However, I have added this section for completeness (or if you are brand new to the game and only have a limited number of things you can craft).

    The most valuable crop in the game is a tie between tomatoes and blueberries. They both yield a profit of $40/plot/hr. Note that tomatoes would yield more, but the limitation on water makes it a dead heat between these two. Because blueberries are better feed crops, though, it is probably best to produce blueberries instead of tomatoes.

    Note that these are *far more valuable* than crops that take an hour or more to grow. The next closest crop in value after these are daisies @ $15/hr, and for non-limited items it is wheat at a paltry $1/hr. So blueberries are 40 times more valuable than the next permanently available crop in the list.

    Recipes
    I already mentioned the “real” best recipes (powdered sugar and witchin’ butter) above in the “maximizing overall profit” section. However, there are a few other recipes I want to point out here.

    BEST PRODUCT, per recipe: ganache @ $848/hr
    BEST PRODUCT, per recipe, realistic: vanilla cream puffs @ $682/hr (runner up: scary cake @ $433/hr)
    BEST PRODUCT, per recipe, vegan: tomato paste @ $100/hr
    BEST PRODUCT, overall, vegan: strawberry lemonade (but really: regular lemonade. see notes.)
    BEST PRODUCT, dining alone: witchin’ butter @ $245/hr
    PRODUCTS TO AVOID: vanilla cream ( loses $458 in value), butter @$560/hr

    GANACHE: ganache is, technically, the most profitable item in the game per unit produced. With sustained production it yields $847.50/hr – but in order to keep this up you need 8 non-prize goats, a few plots of land, and (get this) 10 sugar/hr. You also need to use a ridiculous amount of water to make the feed for the goats, or wait so long for slower-growing crops that you won’t get anywhere near $847/hr. Skip this one.

    VANILLA CREAM PUFFS & SCARY CAKE: I won’t go into the details here because both of these use sugar which, as stated above, you should really be saving for powdered sugar instead. They both use enough water that you actually do better overall by skipping them both entirely even though they look good on a per-unit basis.

    TOMATO PASTE: I have included the best “vegan” product because you eventually need to replace chickens and goats that become prized. Thus, you eventually need to spend a bunch of money for expensive troughs and animals for any non-vegan product. Tomato paste is the best vegan recipe at $100/hr – and note that this is superior to selling either straight tomatoes or blueberries @ $40/hr. Interestingly, because of the time it takes to replace the water you make $100/hr on tomato paste whether you raise all eight tomatoes at once or just raise one tomato at a time on a single plot; thus, the latter option is better as it leaves more plots free for other things.

    On a practical note, in practice you probably won’t end up optimizing your water usage 100% correctly all the time. If you ever find yourself with close to 30 waters in storage, planting long-growing crops will lose you money (since you lose any water above 30). Instead, spend a few minutes planting tomatoes in increments of 8 for tomato paste, or blueberries for feed. Once you have used up some of the water, you can then plant slower-growing crops immediately afterward in those same plots.

    WITCHIN’ BUTTER: If you have few (or no) friends who can give you sugar, witchin’ butter is currently the most profitable @ $245/hr.

    STRAWBERRY LEMONADE: When you consider the low water requirements for strawberry lemonade (.6 water/hr), it is actually the maximally profitable vegan recipe at $720/hr (and one of the top five most profitable items overall). However, take a look at the requirements for that: to use up all of your available water (and thus make that maximum profit) you would need to be crafting 32 strawberry lemonades simultaneously, meaning about 5*32=160 plots total. Lemonade is actually a much better deal; it’s overall max is $700/hr, but you can do that with just lemon trees and no plots of land required. So you give up a mere $20/hr, but in exchange you don’t need a single plot of land.

    BUTTER: at $560/hr, butter looks like a winner. However, note that this won’t last long: in order to get this rate you will need 2 goats each producing 5 bottles of milk/hr. In a few hours your goats will be used up. Furthermore, the price isn’t that great compared to just selling the bottles of milk; the advantage is only $10 per sale, or $60/hr.

    VANILLA CREAM: don’t ever produce this for the purpose of selling it. As Lotus Blade points out, you will lose $458 per vanilla cream as opposed to simply selling the ingredients it takes to make it. I will post an update with how this factors into the value of recipes in which it is used.

    Leveling
    All of the above basically goes out the window when you are close to leveling up. At that point there is basically no time penalty to any crop you plant, so you are only worried about the pure profit value of any given crop or tree. With that in mind here are the items that will be the most valuable to have in the ground right before leveling up. If possible try to get the last few points from leveling by visiting friends’ farms; that will leave all of your plots free for crops. Remember to plant your crops *before* visiting friends, though; planting crops gives you XP, and you don’t want to find yourself halfway through planting a batch of vanilla when you suddenly level up. If you don’t think you can get enough XP just by visiting friends, leave one plot free and use that to grow & harvest your last 5-10 XP worth of tomatoes to get there quickly. The list below shows which crops and trees will be most valuable to have planted when you level up.

    • crops, limited: vanilla @ $59/plot
    • crops, standard: onion @ $8/plot (for money), or strawberries @ 10 feed/plot (for feed)
    • trees: persimmon trees @ $330/tree, more if used in recipes (see note below)

    Note on persimmon trees: these will yield the most profit when leveling up but require the most advance planning. If you use them to make witchin’ batter for $1,957 profit you will need to make sure you also plant four plots of wheat (plus have six eggs handy). If you want to make scary cake you will additionally need to have 16 bottles of milk and 4 sugars but will gain $3463 in profit. Given the additional $1500 in profit from making scary cake instead of witchin’ batter, though, it is worth the extra trouble provided that you are able to get 4 people to give you sugar and you already have the 16 bottles of milk ready to go (or you are willing to grind them out after leveling); even if you had 16 goats available to make the milk when you level up, you would need to plant a bunch of strawberries for 6 feed each, and those plots are more profitably sown with vanilla at level up time. If you don’t have friends who are able to gift items to you, then witchin’ batter will give you the most when leveling up.

    To summarize, then: when leveling up, first make sure all your trees are watered. Then, if you have persimmon trees plant 4 plots with wheat and the rest with vanilla. Have your friends give you 4 sugar and also have 16 bottles of milk ready to go. Use all of that to make scary cake. If you can’t do those last two things, then just make witchin’ batter instead, which can be made just from your persimmon trees, wheat, and six eggs.

    Overnight considerations
    I need to think more on this area, but there are two separate items I would like to address: how to maximize feed production and crop value when you log off for extended periods of time. Of course this will depend on just *how* long you log off for, so I am only focusing on overnight periods (assuming 8 hours).

    If you are in the habit of playing all day during the day, then in general it is better to plant crops for feed and not for cash overnight. This is because blueberries are so much more valuable on a cash basis than other crops, so it pays to produce them as much as possible during the day. Strawberries produce the most feed/unit, but they also take a full day to grow. Pumpkins look like the best option since they produce 4 feed/unit and finish in 8 hours, or the course of an overnight logoff. If you will be offline for 12 hours, though, onions are slightly better at 6/unit. Finally, while they are around vanilla beans are an attractive option at 5 feed/unit and are ready in 4 hours, so they are slightly more valuable than pumpkins as feed for the next few days.

    Notes

    Progress: First, in terms of where I’m at: I have only gone through the numbers up through crops available at my current level (8). I have also only gone through the first three and a half pages of recipes. Some crops & recipes beyond that point may be more valuable than what I’ve listed below. If so, you’ll hear about it in future updates.

    Underlying Data: I haven’t listed the data for all crops, trees, products and recipes because it’s a bit overwhelming and takes some analysis to make sense of. Full results are in the spreadsheet, so let me know if you’re interested and I’ll share the full results as well.

    Cost of goats & chickens: this will probably change the calculations above quite a bit as these are expensive to replace once they stop producing. I have made qualitative notes above about the impact of these in your decisions, but I will calculate out the results after I discover how many feeds it takes before a goat or a chicken stops producing (or if you already know the answer and pass it on to me, I’ll factor it in immediately).

    Improved farm animals: all recipe cost above assume the time, water, and feed involved for the basic chicken and goat. I will update these with better information as I collect the stats on the higher-level goats and chickens.

    Fertilizer: fertilizing crops greatly enhances their value when harvested, so I definitely need to put some thought into which crops are best to use your fertilizer on. At first blush, though, I’m guessing it will be the ones that have long growing times and lead to high-value recipes, such as persimmons.

    Farmhands: Like fertilizer, these will speed up growth or give you more growth/item. This needs to be included at some point.

    Crafting Power: when producing high numbers of crafted goods, the amount of crafting power you have available also becomes a factor in maximizing profit. This needs to be included as well, although at lower levels this shouldn’t make a difference.
